A-Level Further Maths tutoring for students heading for maths, physics, engineering or economics degrees.
Further Maths is a second A-Level with its own papers: complex numbers, matrices, proof by induction, hyperbolic functions, and an applied option. Classes are small and fast, and there is rarely time to go back. One-to-one lessons give that time.

What we cover
- Core Pure: complex numbers, Argand diagrams, roots of polynomials, proof by induction
- Core Pure: matrices and transformations, vectors in three dimensions, further calculus, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions, differential equations
- Further Mechanics: momentum and impulse, work, energy and power, elastic collisions, circular motion
- Further Statistics: discrete random variables, Poisson, chi-squared tests, continuous distributions
- Decision Maths: algorithms, graphs and networks, linear programming, critical path analysis
- Board-specific option choices: AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and OCR MEI
What we do first
- 1Find out which option papers your school has chosen, and plan around them from lesson one.
- 2Make the Core Pure algebra (complex numbers, matrices, induction) automatic, since every paper leans on it.
- 3Past papers under time from the second term of Year 12; there are fewer of them, so each one is used carefully.
How it is examined
Edexcel 9FM0: Core Pure 1 and 2 (90 minutes each) plus two option papers. AQA 7367: three two-hour papers. OCR H245: four papers, two mandatory pure and two options. OCR MEI H645: three papers. All examined in June of Year 13; AS Further Maths is available separately.

Yes. The pace is demanding and we usually recommend two lessons a week for a compressed course.
Can we do Maths and Further Maths in the same weekly lesson?
Better as two separate weekly lessons, so each gets the time it needs. You can book two times a week from the checkout, or add a second later from your profile.
